Earth Spirit Magazine was founded in 2023 by photographer Jasmine Metta Truman. It is an independent collaborative magazine exploring our ancient connection to the natural world.
Each year a new group of creatives are selected to make work in response to the Earth Spirit Brief. They are asked to explore their local natural spaces and revisit their inherent connection to the land. Over the course of 8 weeks they then will create work, in their chosen medium, and respond to their experience or place in the natural landscape. View Earth Spirit 2024 and Earth Spirit 2023.
Earth Spirit is an annual publication, and was recently distributed in print for the first time! OnTheWight published an article about the magazine, during pre-orders, which you can read here: OnTheWight: Earth Spirit Magazine.
Earth Spirit is a magazine which hopes to inspire its readers to connect more with their creative senses, and spend more time in the natural world. We believe that the world would be a better place if each of us re-kindled our ancient relationship with the Earth and lived in harmony with nature.
You can follow the work and find out more about the creatives over on our Instagram @earthspiritmag
